ABOUT THE AQUASCAPIST
I have been an avid aquarium enthusiast since the late 1990's and aquarium plants did not exist within my setups at the time. I first started with a 10g aquarium filled with common goldfish, and betta hexes which housed bettas. Since then, I have kept a variety of tropical fish and also bred many types of bettas. It was not until 2004 that I began my journey into the planted aquarium hobby. At the time, I had absolutely no background knowledge on aquarium plants or even the idea that I could keep and grow aquarium plants in my own aquariums.
Within the last few years, nature planted aquariums has been my main focus and the many aspects it involves. I have been fortunate enough attend aquatic related events such as; AGA Convention, Houston Plant Fest, and the AquaFest, where I was able to meet other enthusiasts in this hobby. Because of attending these events, I've been able to put myself deeper in the hobby where I am able to build connections, learn, and socialize with many planted aquarium enthusiasts.
My main focus will be on the aquascaping aspects of nature planted aquariums amd aquatic gardening. Given the effort and patience, I will strive to to create breathtaking and inspirational aquascapes that not only comes from nature, but also from my own personal philosophy of the planted aquarium. I am consistently working on learning the chemistry and angles of aquascaping the planted aquarium and hope to achieve aquascapes that will not only serve as a comfortable environment for the fauna and flora, but also as a piece of living art.
